Land & Migration Acknowledgement: Rino Consulting Solutions is a company I birthed in 2016 and primarily operates on the ancestral lands of the Lisjan Ohlone People (Oakland, CA). The land-based programs and activities have also touched the lands of the Ramaytush, Miwok, and Muwekmah Ohlone Peoples. I honor the many thousands of years of relationship and cultivation of the health and wellness of this land by its ancestors and living descendants. More importantly I honor the stories and struggles of its people from the beginnings of Spanish colonization and genocide for the establishment of a mission state, to western expansion, and now the industrialization of this land that contributes to today’s climate crisis. Our collective efforts to heal this land and ourselves is done by engaging in conscious efforts to re-establish relationships to ourselves and the land while creating meaningful ways to contribute action to the practice of solidarity towards land sovereignty.
As the Founder I acknowledge my family’s migration story to bring transparency to my identity as a settler/guest/visitor on this land and to honor a true path towards healing the impacts of colonization and racism. I was born and raised on Muwekmah Territory, also known as San Jose, CA. My life and experiences have been nurtured and shaped primarily as a second generation child of two immigrant parents fleeing the authoritarianism of the Marcos Regime in the Philippines in the late 70’s. I currently live in the land of the Lisjan Ohlone People as a single mother of a growing teenage daughter.
I walk with a deep sense of love and gratitude for this land and the dynamic ways in which a collective effort is unfolding towards the Land Back Movement. As someone who is doing nature-based services on a land that is not my ancestral lands I am on a constant decolonization process that has resulted in profound experiences and a community that has helped unEarth the stories of my ancestors and our abilities to be in the service of healing.

Rino Consulting Solutions was birthed in 2016, blending the personal journey and professional skills of Principal Coach & Consultant, Raynelle Rino. The mission and vision of this firm in it’s early iteration was a place where healing trauma in nature intersected with community-based service, organizing, and leadership development across multiple disciplines. Today, we continue with the same mission and vision and the impacts of our work are noticeably needed as we lean more deeply into the realm of supporting diverse leaders of today bridge mental wellness and nature in the pursuit of a more just, intentional, and healing centered walk through life.
The foundations of our work, as illustrated in the Radical By Nature Framework, are a direct result of Raynelle’s navigation through her career, beginning as a Field Ecologist, then moving into environmental justice centered youth development & education, to now a transformational leadership coach and consultant. The blending of ecology, leadership, spiritual development, and entrepreneurship models the framework’s approach of holistic care.
